Description
15" (38 cm.) Solid domed composition head with flanged neck, tinted brown sculpted boyish hair, painted facial features, blue eyes, solemn expression, muslin body with composition lower legs designed to appear as rain boots, and composition arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Ideal, circa 1914, the doll was issued as a promotion for the Uneeda Biscuit Company. Value Points: rare to find in this condition with original striped cotton romper under yellow cotton raincoat, holding miniature cardboard biscuit box, with original cloth label on his sleeve "The Uneeda Kid, Pat. Dec. 8, 1914, Ideal Novelty & Toy Co".
