15" (38 cm.) All-felt doll with swivel head, slender face and torso, center seam on face, black shoe-button eyes pronounced nose and chin, fleecy black mohair hair and moustache, curvy black painted brows, jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition. Generally excellent, slight fading of shirt and bandanna. Marks: Steiff (early button in ear). Comments: Steiff, circa 1915, the doll depicts the Argentinian gaucho including hair, moustache and costume. Value Points: rare model with wonderfully-detailed face, wearing original costume including mohair wide-legged pants, wide-brimmed felt hat, black shoes.
