Description
26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, Marks: B 12 F. Comments: Bebe Francais, the model was introduced by Emile Jumeau after winning his infringement lawsuit against Danel & Cie and gaining the rights to this name; the model, completely different than classic "tete" model, bears an uncanny resemblance to Jumeau's 225 art character bebe. Value Points: rare model with especially fine quality of luminous complexion, rich painting of features, fine antique costume including woolen jacket, undergarments, velvet beret, leather shoes with brown silk rosettes.
