Description
5" (13 cm.) The paper mache sailor has highly-characterized features of Brownie, with large googly eyes, wide beaming smile, sculpted and painted sailor costume, jointing at shoulders and hips. Included is a wooden sail boat with American flag. Along with jumping jack Brownie having paper mache double-sided face with very large blue googly eyes, wide smile, attached top hat; attached to light wood double-sided body with loose jointing at shoulders, hips and knees, and with painted Uncle Sam costume. Excellent condition. Circa 1895, depicted is Uncle Sam inspired by the Palmer Cox Brownies illustrations.
