16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, brown sculpted hair waved behind her ears into arranged loose braids at the back, ornamented with sculpted green bow at her crown, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms, antique gown, jewelry and undergarments including knit stockings of which one has ink script lettering "L. Byalls 1872", presumably the original owner of the doll. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1870. Value Points: very rare early doll with brilliant glass eyes, rare brown hair and green painted hair bow.
