20" (51 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, brown side-glancing eyes, painted curly lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig in unique periwig fashion with rolled curls at each side of face, felt body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent, slight dustiness of face, few tiny moth holes in jacket. Comments: Lenci, circa 1926, the model appeared in the 1925/1926 catalog, model 253, named "Mozart" in the catalog. Value Points: very rare early model with exceptional detail of original felt costume, having embroidered garlands and symbols on vest and jacket, turquoise felt tricorn hat which matches jacket lining, bouquet of colorful felt flowers, pink pantalets, slippers, stockings, ruffled jabot and cuffs.
