Rare German Mohair Blue-Eyed "Petsy" Bear by Steiff

16" (41 cm.) Of shaded brown curly mohair with excelsior filling, the distinctively-modeled bear was designed as a baby cub bear, having center seam with elongated nose, stitched light brown nose tip, grand-sized blue glass eyes, over-sized stitched ears, shortened torso, elongated arms with shoulder disc-jointing, hip disc-jointing felt paw pads, with original Steiff underscore button in ear. Good condition, few moth holes at edges of paw pads. Germany, Steiff, the baby bear, marketed as Petsy and with unique facial modeling and grand eyes, was introduced in 1928, and is very rare.
