17" (42 cm.) Bisque socket head, small blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, short feathered brows, closed mouth with downcast pouting lips, impressed creases at lip corners, double chin, brunette hand-tied human hair wig, composition and wooden fully-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume of blue wool, white cutwork pinafore, undergarments, socks, and leather shoes with silk rosettes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 115/A 42. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, their art character model was originally marketed as "Phillip" although it was presented as either boy or girl, circa 1912. Value Points: very fine modeling enhanced by touches of gleaming patina on the complexion, original body and body finish.
