Description
23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head, large dark blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, thick brushstroked brows with decorative glaze, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish with some scuffing on fingers and toes of left hands. Marks: H 10 A (and symbol). Comments: Henri Alexandre, circa 1890. Value Points: rare to find model with very distinctive expression accentuated by large eyes, original body, antique mariner costume.
