18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged shoulderplate with deposed system allowing the head to tilt forward and side-to-side as well as swivel, cobalt blue enamel eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, ears pierced into head, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, all wooden body with swivel waist, dowel-jointed articulation at shoulder, elbows, hips, and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Louis Doleac, Paris, circa 1867, the doll also has the deposed head/shoulderplate attachment designed by Dehors allowing realistic head posing. Value Points: rare poupee with distinctive facial model of Doleac, rare Dehors neck articulation, wooden articulated body, and beautiful costume and matching lace snood.
