Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque shoulder head, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with outlined lips and double row of teeth, carton torso and full length carton skirt which encloses mechanism, hidden wheeled base. When wound the doll glides forward and in circles, raising arms up and down. Condition: doll is excellent, mechanism functions but needs some adjustment, wheels need realignment. Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1867. Value Points: antique Brittany style costume, beautiful face with rich cobalt eyes, perfect bisque hands.
