19" (48 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, sculpted forelock curls and side curls above the ears, brush-stroked hair at back of head, one large blue glass googly eye with painted long curly lashes, the other eye sculpted and painted in semi-closed "winking" manner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth in beaming smile with accented lips, double chin, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, wearing green woolen uniform with brass buttons, saddle shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 175-9. Comments: Hertel and Schwab, circa 1915. Value Points: very rare variation of the firm's Jubilee Googly, this model with unique and captivating eye design, enhanced by choicest bisque and painting, nice larger size.
