Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with downcast pensive expression, accent line between the lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: XI. Comments: Kestner, circa 1885. Value Points: very pretty example of the early doll with choicest bisque and painting, original body and body finish.
