20" (51 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with oval-shaped face, brown sculpted hair with arranged curls at the forehead, side hair drawn behind her ears into long tumbling ringlet curls that are early covered by an elaborately draped cap that is decorated with rose ribbons and banding, blue polka dots, and Dresden bows and streamers, painted facial features, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, aquiline nose, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, muslin stitch-jointed limbs, leather arms, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, professional restoration to Dresden streamers at back of head. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: extremely rare sculpted hair variation with outstanding detail of decoration and sculpting of layered cap.
