Description
12" (30 cm.) Waist-up porcelain half-doll depicting Pierrette with black painted cap and three deeply-raised brown sculpted spit curls, grey eyeshadow and side-glancing eyes, with extended arms bent at the elbow and clasping a porcelain mandolin with painted detail of strings. Attached to original wire frame (probably originally as lamp), which is covered with black lace and silk and velvet overskirt. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1920.
