21" (53 cm.) All-composition with socket head, brown sleep eyes, real lashes, dramatically painted smoky-grey eye shadow, three painted curly lashes at outer corner of each eye, fringed brows, closed mouth with very full lips, brunette mohair wig with two braided chignons at the nape that are enhanced by floral clusters, jointing at shoulders and hips. She is wearing original four-tiered ballerina gown (with fitted metal bosom and laced back) of loosely-woven silk-like tulle that is decorated with sequin butterflies and rose petals. panties, cream silk-like slippers with silk ankle ties, pearls, black velvet wrist ribbons. Fair/good condition, some surface lines, gown has many small tears and some dustiness. Madame Alexander, with clover-leaf gilt wrist tag, the model marked as "Degas" from the 1946 portrait series is extremely rare.
