Description
2 1/2" (6 cm.) Each is bisque shoulder head with pale complexion and painted facial features, one with blonde sculpted hair pulled behind sculpted ears into long ringlet curls and topped by a grey hat with upturned sides, black band, and a lavish lustre feather; the other with blonde curls tumbling onto back shoulders, formed wing curls at the sides and decorative flowers, bows and gilt band. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: especially fine painting and detailing on the lady with rich purple lustre tassel.
