19" (48 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady with elongated throat, sculpted blonde hair in soft pageboy curls around the sides and back of head, held by a black painted hair ribbon, painted facial features, outlined blue upper-glancing eyes with thick black painted socket outline and decorative glaze of lower eyes, white eye dots, painted all-around lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with very full lips, partially sculpted ears with sculpted gilt earrings, sculpted and painted gold cross necklace, old muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque forearms, nicely costume in vintage silk gown, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Simon and Halbig, Germany, circa 1865. Value Points: rarity factors include painted upper and lower lashes, sculpted jewelry, and entrancing expression.
