Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, delicately-painted lashes and brows, rose-blushed eyeshadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented pale lips, ears pierced into head, brunette mohair wig, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips, kid-over-wooden dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows and knees, bisque forearms with separately-defined fingers, well-defined knuckles and nails. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3 (head and shoulders). Comments: French, circa 1867. Value Points: wonderfully-preserved condition of lady and her costume enhanced by beautiful eyes and bisque, near mint rare-model body, wearing original couturier costume of burgundy cashmere wool with velvet and silk pleated inserts, elaborate bustle, lace detailing, undergarments, bonnet, parasol, and leather ankle boots signed C.C.
