9" (23 cm.) x 6". The wooden box with decorative paper covers and decoupage label "La Petite Brodeuse" hinges open to reveal a well-fitted interior with embroidery frame, sewing tools, threads, and copper embroidery stencils. Excellent condition. French, circa 1900, the child's sewing arrangement was from a series of "learning tools" presented in holiday Etrennes catalogs of the era.
