28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils of distinctive upturned nose, closed mouth with upturned lip corners and accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, wearing antique blue chambray dress with hand-made rick-rack, blouse, undergarments, red woolen stockings, black ankle boots marked L.I., ruffled bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Paris Bebe Tete Depose 12 (head) Paris Bebe Depose (and Eiffel Tower symbol,torso). Comments: Emile Jumeau, his character model created with Paris Bebe symbol after winning his lawsuit again Danel & Cie, circa 1892. Value Points: fabulous model with highly characterized features, choicest bisque and painting, original body and body finish, excellent costume, fine large size.
