4" (10 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of lady with oval aristocratic face, elongated throat, light brown hair waved away from her face into very thickly arranged curls that are captured in a coronet roll at the crown and forming into looped and rolled curls at the sides and back, decorated at the crown with gilt-edged blue headband, painted blue downcast eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, aquiline nose, closed mouth with center accent line, modeled bosom and shoulder blades. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1900, attributed to Dressel and Kister. Value Points: rare to find model with outstanding quality of sculpted hair and luxury-quality porcelain.
