11" (28 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head turned to the right, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, lambswool wig, cloth body with stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, paper mache lower arms and legs, painted red-rimmed white socks and red-rimmed black shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1880. Value Points: beautifully-preserved early doll with original body, wearing charming antique dress with matching bonnet, pinafore, undergarments.
