17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head with rich brown complexion, brown glass eyes, black eyeliner, black painted lashes and brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four teeth, pierced ears, impressed chin dimple, black mohair fleecy wig, brown composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique folklore costume featuring muslin dress with embroidery, head scarf, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 10 H 739 dep Germany. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: rarer model from the firm's 700 series, with glowing flawless complexion, original body and body finish, original costume. Ex-Legoland Museum of Antique Dolls and Toys.
