Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) Hip-up porcelain slender-bodied lady with short red curly hair having diamond-point gilt crown with beaded accents, a blue wrap with thick white fur collar tossed over her shoulders but leaving her front torso bare, her right arm extended with curled fingers for holding an object, and with very long strands of gold beads and matching bracelet. Her deeply-set brown eyes are richly outlined, and she has a unique captivating smile. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1925, attributed to Fasold & Stauch, the very rare half-doll with rare smiling expression and provocative costuming was likely inspired by an unknown celebrity event; the smiling facial model is similar to other signed examples by Fasold & Stauch.
