14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips and tiny defined tongue tip, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid bebe body with scalloped edge collarette, gusset-jointing at hips and knees, kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque forearms and hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 3 (head) Bru Jne No 3 (shoulders) (original Bru paper label on torso). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1882. Value Points: gorgeous bebe with finest bisque and painting, desirable tongue tip, original body with perfect bisque hands, early costume (possibly original) and undergarments, woven hat with silk and velvet ribbons, one-handled parasol with silk cover, socks and leather shoes signed "Bru Jne Paris 3".
