Description
19" (48 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, brilliant cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, delicately feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, ears pierced into head, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5 (head and shoulderplate). Comments: French, in the manner of Barrois, circa 1865. Value Points: delicate pale complexion beautifully contrast the brilliant eyes, original fine gown, undergarments, brown silk ribbon trim, velvet bonnet, jewelry, red leather boots.
