Description
12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, accented lips, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, flakes at left pierced ear hole. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 3. (head). Bebe Jumeau Diplome d'honneur (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1890. Value Points: lovely painting of rich lashes around the brilliant eyes, fine gleaming patina of complexion, original body and body finish.
