Description
4" (10 cm.) largest. Each is all bisque, depicting a seated Kewpie with classic features of topknot, forelock, side-glancing eyes, and blue wings, each marked with black C. stamp on underside. Including Kewpie seated on envelope (with original 2-cent postmarked stamp) inscribed "with Kewpish love from Rose O'Neill"; a smaller seated Kewpie with book on his lap, and a pile of books at his back; and a seated Kewpie with book resting on his left leg; and seated Kewpie with arms reaching backward as if in fright at the fly which rests upon his right toes.
