Description
13" (33 cm.) overall. 5" doll. Waist-up porcelain half-dolls with pink tinted complexion, sculpted brown hair with three ringlet curls at each side of face and topknot chignon decorated with ribbons, bands and flowers, with arms sculpted away from body and hands daintily posed. She is attached to original wire frame (designed for use as tea cozy), and is dressed in coral silk with padded ivory and silk skirt with amber jewel accents. Excellent condition. Germany, Goebel, circa 1918, the doll appeared in that year's catalog described as "Nr.117/IV Jenny Lind, anno 1849", portraying the famed Swedish opera singer known as "Swedish Nightingale".
