French Cream Cashmere Coat Dress with Burgundy Velvet Trim, Cap, Signed Jumeau Shoes

Of finely-woven cream cashmere with vertical panels of plush, coat sleeves with turn-up cuffs, pearl buttons, burgundy velvet hip sash and collar; the back of the dress is especially intricate with extended length collar at the back, and gathers below the hips. Included is a black leatherette mariner cap with gilt label for the Paris department store of Au Louvre, and a pair of black leather shoes impressed "11". Excellent condition. French, circa 1885, made for Bebe Jumeau, size 11.
