Description
24" (61 cm.) Felt head with applique clown features including pronounced red felt nose and wide red lips, stitched-on ears, black mohair wig under stitched-on raggedy hat, padded wire armature body, over-sized feet. Condition: good, some fading of costume. Comments: Italian, 1930s, possibly Lenci. Value Points: the amusing vagabond is wearing original costume including patched pants, jacket, neck scarf, and carrying felt suitcase with lettered labels " Felicita", "Amore", and "Salute".
