14" (36 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head turned sharply to the side, short brown sculpted hair with goatee and refined thin moustache, enamel eyes, well-defined throat, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted white stockings and brown shoes, wearing early costume of ivory breeches, green silk tunic, purple coat, and gold robe, each with rich metallic thread embroidery. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
