Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, daintily upturned lip corners, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, French composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Figure C No 3/o Steiner Bte SGDG Paris (head) Bebe Le Parisien Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1886. Value Points: dainty petite size is enhanced by superb painting with delicately-rendered blush on eyelids, cheeks and earlobes, original wig, pate, body, body finish and wonderful antique costume comprising whitewear dress, undergarments, burgundy cashmere coat and matching cap, muff, socks, and leather shoes signed "P" in oval.
