11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump rounded face, brown glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, delicately-painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with hint of smile, center line between the outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde lambswool wig, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists and flat-cut derriere, lovely silk costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sch (in shield) 3/0 (head). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1880. Value Points: rare petite size with beautiful pale complexion, charming little smile, original body.
