Description
17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lower lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, two porcelain upper teeth, tongue, outlined lips, double chin, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J made in Germany 13 247 JDK 13. Comments: Kestner, circa 1915. Value Points: wonderful modeling highlighted by impressed dimples in cheeks and lip corners, original wig, pate, and body with wonderful modeling of chubby baby folds.
