8" (20 cm.) Wooden head and shoulder plate with defined neck, definition of carved nose, painted black hair with scalloped curls, painted black pupil-less eyes with outlined sockets, feathered brows, blush spots on cheeks, tiny closed mouth, attached to hand-stitched body with kid upper arms and legs, wooden lower limbs, painted orange shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1820. Value Points: wonderful little doll with all-original finish and body, with original cotton dress with transfer pattern and matching cap, leggings, and presented in her original early box.
