10" (25 cm.) Bisque swivel head on bisque torso, very plump cheeks and double-chin, blue glass sleep eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils of pointy-tip nose, closed mouth with center accent line and impressed dimples at lip corners, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, peg-jointed bisque arms and very shapely legs, tiny ankles, bare feet, right hand in folded fist. Condition: generally excellent, tiny flakes at arm stringing holes. Comments: Kestner, circa 1880. Value Points: rare size, original wig, pate, all body parts, wearing superb original silk costume with lace trim, elaborate original undergarments, woven bonnet with aqua silk lining and bow, socks, and heeled ankle boots with illegible signature. The doll was featured in Fascinating Dolls by Samy Odin described as "astonishing, not only for its extraordinary size but also for its opulent dress as well as its excellent condition".
