Description
12" (30 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, very plump face and tummy, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, bare feet, right hand posed in little fist. Condition: generally excellent, tiny flakes at peg holes, big and second toe chipped off on left foot. Comments: Kestner, circa 1880. Value Points: extremely rare large early all-bisque with superb detail of expression, quality of bisque, unusual details such as closed fist, original antique costume.
