9 1/2" (24 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, very plump cheeks, blue glass sleep eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, open mouth with glazed shading on lips, two square cut upper teeth and one lower, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, peg-jointing at shoulders and hips, curled fingers, very shapely legs with defined knees and tiny ankles, painted white ribbed stockings with blue rims, yellow ankle boots with fancy spats and heels, six laces and black bows. Condition: generally excellent, one finger tip chipped on right hand, tiny flakes at stringing holes. Marks: 102. Comments: Kestner, circa 1880. Value Points: an outstanding early all-bisque doll in grand size with superb complexion and painted features, fabulous boots, and wearing extraordinary original lace costume and bonnet.
