18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, small brown glass sleep eyes, heavily modeled eyelids, fringe-painted upper lashes, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full shaded lips in pouting expression, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, lovely antique costume with bonnet and shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 101 46. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, the transition version of their classic art character 101, with glass eyes. Value Points: most endearing child with wistful yet intelligent expression has especially fine painting of lips, original wig in soft curls, original body and body finish, wonderful costume.
