10" (25 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head depicting young Asian boy, shaved scalp except arranged tuft of curls at his crown, enamel eyes, heavily-modeled eyelids, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted stockings and red ankle boots with pointy tips, wearing original court costume comprising breeches, magenta silk vest with gilt trim, green silk jacket. Excellent condition, some frailty to costume. Neapolitan, early 1700s, possibly from the school of Lorenzo Mosca.
