14 1/2" (37 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, early composition and wooden ball-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed in rose silk dress, undergarments, socks, shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: X. Comments: Kestner, circa 1885. Value Points: very lovely bisque with delicate dewy patina complexion on the sought-after closed mouth "X" doll, original body and body finish.
