Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) Bisque swivel head on bisque torso, cobalt blue glass eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair over plaster pate, peg-jointed arms and legs, hand posed beseechingly, legs modeled bent at the elbows to allow kneeling pose. Condition: generally excellent, tiniest pinflakes at arm stringing holes. Comments: Kestner, circa 1885. Value Points: rare kneeling all-bisque with swivel neck and jointed shoulders and hips, well defined body features including navel and dimples.
