Description
8 1/2" (22 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso with shapely sculpting, blue glass eyes, painted lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth in fretful expression, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, hands modeled into small fists, shapely legs with painted white stockings and four-lace black heeled ankle boots, pretty silk costume and bonnet. Condition: generally excellent, chip on upper rim of left leg. Comments: Germany, Kestner, circa 1885. Value Points: excellent detail of body modeling such as expressive hands in the rare larger size.
