Description
7" (18 cm.) Bisque swivel head on bisque torso, very plump face, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, well-defined knees and ankles, slightly-cupped fingers. Condition: generally excellent, tiniest flakes at string holes of legs. Comments: Kestner, circa 1882. Value Points: wonderful facial modeling with very chubby features, the little girl is wearing lavish early costume of aqua and ivory silk and lace, undergarments, woven bonnet with matching aqua silk lining and bow and with feather accent.
