12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded plump face, amber brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sie C 2/0 (head) (Steiner caduceus mark on body). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1882. Value Points: rare early Steiner model with expressive features and very fine bisque, original body and body finish, especially appealing in this petite size, fine antique costume.
