14" (36 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with pink-tinted bisque, short blonde sculpted hair, blue modeled hair bow, fully sculpted ears, intaglio small blue upper-glancing eyes with tiny white eyedots, black and incised upper eyeliner, glazed highlights on pupils, short-stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pensive expression, accent line between the lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, original costume including historical Prince's Flag. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (in square) 8381 4 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912, the model is an apt portrayal of the young Princess Juliana of the Netherlands as a young child. Value Points: extremely rare model by the Heubach firm is in pristine original condition with beautifully sculpted and painted bisque, the detail of sculpting so fine as to appear as though pressed.
