13" (33 cm.) The porcelain figurine depicts 18th century lady with elaborate grey curls tumbling onto her shoulders, very wide-brimmed green bonnet decorated with six lavish white feathers, sculpted costume with low bodice, gilt beaded edging, embossed garlands and dainty transfer designs of roses, her hands extended from body and holding a fan. Marks: (blue stamp crown over N). Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1900, Ernst Bohne Sohne, the lavish feathers are notable, considered a signature style of Marie Antoinette after their appearance in oil paintings of the queen by Mme Vigee-Lebrun. The model was created in full figures such as this example, and as a half-dolls such as the following lot.
