24" (61 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, blue glass paperweight inset eyes of great depth, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid bebe body with Chevrot hinged hips, wooden lower legs, bisque forearms and hands. Condition: generally excellent, restoration to right baby finger. Marks: Bru Jne 11 (head and shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1886. Value Points: very fine quality of bisque, dramatic large eyes, original body, fine antique silk costume and bonnet, and signed "Bru Jne Paris 11" shoes.
